Applying for a place at Oakfield

Although the building itself is large, with high staff ratios, places are few and limited. Oakfield has the equivalent of just 18-20 full time places to offer each year. The nursery offers a full time place or a 3 day, part time, place (however, no sessional care).

As places are limited and demand high, in order to ensure a place, children are usually registered while mother is in the early stages of pregnancy. An appointment will then be arranged to look round Oakfield with a view to taking up a place. We rarely have places to offer children already born except from our Reserve List.

In the event of someone leaving or failing to take up their reserved place, a place may become available for a child already born. In this case, we will refer to our Reserve List. Parents with children who fall into the correct age group will then be contacted, and offered an opportunity to visit the nursery.
